To deepen my foundation in nanotechnology, I spent three weeks in France attending the Ginsen Summer School at Grenoble INP. There, I completed the specialized Micro/Nanotechnology track, gaining valuable international academic exposure.

Over the three weeks spent in Grenoble, I got the opportunity to dive in deep into the current technologies and on going research at the micro- and nanoscale. The experience at the cleanroom opened my eyes to what kind of research can be done, while the hands-on experience taught me the internal workings of the cleanroom. I learnt about the safety measures, the steps taken to ensure the sanctity of the cleanroom and how to use the equipment in the cleanroom.
Meanwhile the visit to CEA provided great insights into what the future holds for microscale technology. After the visit to ESRF, the world's largest synchrotron, I clearly could picturize the generation of x-rays and how they are used in places across the globe.
During the course of the program, I also interacted with people of different nationalities, understanding their backgrounds and perspectives. Staying in Grenoble also provided an insight into the everyday French life and culture .
